New Accounts Clerks

Create or maintain database of customer accounts.

Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel accounts, or obtain details of complaints.

Locate and notify customers of delinquent accounts by mail, telephone, or personal visits to solicit payment.

Establish tables of accounts and assign entries to proper accounts.

Compile statistical, financial, accounting, or auditing reports and tables pertaining to such matters as cash receipts, expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, and profits and losses.

Compose letters in reply to correspondence concerning such items as requests for merchandise, damage claims, credit information requests, delinquent accounts, incorrect billing, or unsatisfactory service.
